I started MyHotelBook as a way for people to be happy about major destinations and travel within the USA. My travels have led me to 18 countries on 4 continents, and within the USA, to 35 American states.
My favorite state is California, which my origin story is connected to. My current state is Michigan, where I have been for the last 5 years at least. My best American experience was traveling the USA by road trip with a college buddy. We stayed at hotels such as the Holiday Inn, but also with friends old and new.

As far as hotels are concerned, I have visited hotels in Los Angeles such as the Viceroy Santa Monica and the Hotel Erwin in Venice Beach.

In Chicago, I stayed at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel for work, as we went for a conference and to meet with business partners, and we had a great experience with this hotel.

In New York City, I have stayed at hostels such as Jazz On The Park, near Manhattan’s Central Park.

In Miami, I stayed at a Hostelling International hostel for Ultra Music Festival.
In San Diego, I have stayed at ITH hostels in Pacific Beach and Downtown San Diego.

My travel has been more budget travel as of late. But I have been to nice hotels and experienced the finer side of life, too.
My travels have brought me to Japan, Korea, and Israel and Germany. To France and Greece, and Austria, and the Netherlands.
All said, I remember my hotels as clean and a safe zone in the urban bustle of life.
That said, the destination and exploring it, seeing the sights, touring the world, that is much more big to me than the hotels.
So, I made this website for you to find hotels, but more in the hopes that when you go to your U.S. destination, you really see the country in its beauty and diversity. Hotels are there because when you travel, you need a place to sleep while you are not touring, eating, shopping, etc.
So for me, hotels are a way to say, Hey now that you’re here, why don’t you step out of the hotel and experience the beauty of the city you are visiting.
Thank you for reading.
